Valve Steam ceases BitCoin payment option

All the bitcoin millionaires out there are going to be upset.  Valve has announced that it will no longer accept payment via bitcoins for its Steam gaming network. The company is stating that the “high fees and volatility” of the cryptocurrency is responsible for their decision.

When Valve introduced the bitcoin payment method associated fees were around $0.20 per transaction. As of now they hover around $20 per transaction. Those fees have to be absorbed by someone. More times often than not they are passed on to the player. This has caused the demand to significantly drop.

Amazon goes down under

Amazon hasn’t had a very smooth smart in launching into the Australian market. Last week, there were some hiccups that resulted in a false start. Things apparently have been smoothed out and Amazon is set to actually launch.

There has been a lot of coverage about how Amazon may just smash up the brick-and-motor stores in Australia. Much in the same way that it has disrupted the retail legacy in the States.  It has yet be seen if it will hold true or not. Apple’s iPhone sales anticipated to decline this year

Apple is receiving a distinction of a different kind. Usually, they’re adorned with accolades for their design, simplicity, and marketing amongst others. This time around a noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, is on record for telling investors that Apple is likely to be the only one of the top 5 smartphone producers to see a decline for the year.

He notes that the iPhone 7 won’t have many new features or innovations.
